Meet the Photographer

Hey, I'm Addie Beguelin

I’ve always been drawn to animals of all kinds — but especially horses. For my eighth birthday, my parents gave me riding lessons, probably thinking it would be a passing phase. Here I am in my 30s, still very much immersed in my horse girl journey.

My boyfriend, Alex, and I recently purchased an 1800s home in Shirley, MA that we’re slowly renovating into our forever dream farm. He’s graciously tolerating my insistence that the paddocks come right up to the kitchen window — and my long-term vision of a future attached barn. He’s also beginning to realize that lawn space may not be part of the final design, and that the outbuildings will likely be filled with living creatures instead of engines and wheels. It comes with the territory of loving a horse girl, unfortunately.

The farm lifestyle has always felt right for me. I’m happiest outside — creating and problem-solving as I go. The loud silence of happy, well-cared-for animals enjoying their day brings me such immense joy.

That desire to preserve those moments is what brought me to photography. When I was younger, it was the feeling of freedom — galloping through fields with friends on my favorite horse — that I wanted to hold onto forever. You could find me with a point-and-shoot camera in one hand and the reins in the other. Now, it’s the feeling of peace, comfort, and home that I never want to let go of.

I want to photograph the feelings that matter most to you — to pause a moment in time and preserve not just how it looked, but how it felt. So you can return to it again and again.
