About Me

For my 8th birthday my parents gave me the gift of horse back riding lessons and i'm sure they thought it would just be a phase. If any of you are horse people... you know... its never just a phase. Here I am 22 years later lucky enough to still be involved with horses in a few ways.

My boyfriend and I recently purchased historical "Lilac Farm" in Shirley Massachusetts and are on a mission to restore it back to what it used to be. We own 10 acres of what was a cranberry farm, but are excited to turn it into our dream home living off the land with a safe haven for large and small creatures to live out their days. The house will be restored to its 1800s look with a modern twist although, naturally... building the barn is my biggest concern!

The combination of photography with the equestrian world fell together naturally for me. I have always been behind the camera taking pictures of my friends with their horses and the scenery around the barn. I always felt like each moment needed to be captured so we could reminisce with fond memories and bring back all the feels.

Speaking of feels, my first true love was a black mare with a crescent moon shape on her face and a halo above her head the size of Saturn's rings. She tolerated my shenanigans from middle school years into my adult life. From wild rides through the woods to napping together in a sunny field, she took care of me, always. When she hit her senior years and it was my turn to take care of her, we stuck together until the very end. Her name was Starlit Moon and I hope to keep Star's memory alive with every click of the shutter.

"Working with Addie at Starlit Images was a great experience. While some black background photography can look sterile and over processed, the shots she got of my horse were both beautiful and captured her personality in a series of images I treasure. Not only are they special to me because they are “my horse”, but they are also works of art in their own right and look totally appropriate on canvas hanging in my home or office. The quality of both the digital images and the prints were excellent."
